Will is the vicar of Urban Crofters and co-leads with his wife, Jude. They began to establish this project in October 2016 with two other families. Before moving to Cardiff they led an Anglican Church in Sussex for 10 years. They have three children aged 21, 19 and 17. They are passionate about developing the local church to bring community transformation through the love and power of Jesus and are committed to seeing a new generation of church leaders envisioned and equipped to serve in today’s church.
WILL & JUDE
Andy & Janette were both born outside Wales, Andy near Oxford and Janette in Harare, Zimbabwe. They met here in Cardiff in their late 20’s and have been married for just over 21 years. They have three teenager children and a gorgeous dog called Brydie. Andy qnd Janette co-lead our Penylan, missional community qlongside Déborah Reeve. Andy works as a consultant Haematologist at the Heath Hospital and although Janette is a trained primary school teacher she now works as an artist and has also recently pioneered a new ministry to youth in South Wales called FireStarters. They both love opening their home, meeting new people, enjoy great food and love to share Jesus.
ANDY & JANETTE
Dave and Lisa have lived in north Cardiff for the last 9 years and have two young children. They are passionate about loving their neighbours and developing community where they live. They lead the Thornhill community and can often be found adventuring as a family at the beach.
DAVID & LISA
Abi is 21 and a medical student at Cardiff Uni. She grew up on a farm in Somerset before moving to Cardiff
2 years ago. Abi leads the student missional community and is passionate about students finding their identity in God and hearing his voice for themselves. When she’s not studying, Abi loves to explore new places, write spoken word and spend time with her niece and nephew.
Josh and Deborah met after leaving their home countries to work in the UK. Josh is an Architect from Italy who is passionate about music and sport but most of all about Jesus. Deborah is from France and works as an HR professional. She loves helping people reaching their full potential by recognising their unique talents. They are both excited about reaching out to the community and opening their hearts and home to others.
JOSH & DÉBORAH
Kim is a medical student at Cardiff university. She was born in Harare, Zimbabwe and grew up in Somerset. Her main passions outside of medicine include mental health activism, writing and dance, but above all her heart’s desire is to serve Christ and help others in their walk with the Lord.
Hannah! is so excited about all that God is up to in the life of our Church! Her role at Urban Crofters is as the Assistant Manager for GROUND UP CAFÉ and co-leader of the 20s-30s missional community group alongside the De Paola's. She believes this is a moment of radical cultural change and is so thankful for Urban Crofters - a family of believers seeking to respond to such change with hearts that are open and receptive to the leading of the Holy Spirit!
Jessie is Urban Crofter's Digital Communications Consultant, working behind the scenes on all things online; from Social media management, to video editing and podcast development. A professional singer-songwriter by trade, she's also involved in the sung worship ministry and passionate about music. Alongside her film-maker husband Luke, they work together on online live events and video production. Having moved to Cardiff in late 2020, they are so excited to see what God will do in this community and beyond.
Chris is the Worship Director at Urban Crofters, overseeing the wonderful team of musicians and broader expressions of worship. Chris fell in love with Jesus and music in a baptist church in Essex where he grew up, continued to play in worship bands in different churches in Birmingham and Cardiff where he completed his undergrad and then masters degree in orchestral conducting. Chris works as a freelance musician, teaching, conducting, playing and composing. He also enjoys apologetics, cooking, audiobooks, frisbee, and other arts. He is excited to continue to develop Spirit-filled and transformative worship in our church family and beyond.
